Bass rules the evening – as long as it is powerful and articulate. The BITE Evening Star is the elegant ruler of the show.

A faint bass will spoil even the best show. The BITE Evening Star comes with BITE 1000mV pickups: record-strong 1000 millivolts, loud and well-defined, all-passive, true bass force of nature. Read here what others say about their BITE basses’ 1000mV sound.

The BITE Evening Star comes also well-dressed in elegance: no pickguard, rear-access control cavity, figured tops and an aesthetic intertwining of two body silhouettes: now you see the core wood, now you don’t. The sloping body bevels are sanded by hand, they can be straight ‘n’ edgy or smoth ‘n’ curvy, you decide. 

The 34″ version features 24 easy-to-reach frets, a GOTOH premium bridge with brass saddles offering top load or string thru, and lightweight compact tuners with an encapsulated 1:17 precision gear. A 4-string alder model clocks in at around 3.5 kg.

    Select your nut width and material. 38mm (1.5") is the width of narrow, J-type necks,
    while 42mm (1.65") of wider, P-type necks.

    Euphoria Fretless

    We build our basses without tropical wood, so we experimented with many ebony
    substitutes for fretless basses and hit the bull’s eye with an ebony lookalike called
    Euphoria. This is a modified European hardwood stabilized with resins.
    It was developed by the University of Göttingen in Germany,
    it looks, feels, works and sounds like ebony.

    Available variants include unlined and lined
    Side dots in unlined necks are by default on the fret positions #3-5-7-9-12-15-17-19.
    Side dots in lined necks are by default centered between the fret lines #3-5-7-9-12-15-17-19.
    Other options are available on request.

    By default, the output jack is side mounted but we can also mount it front side.

    ~~~ HARDWARE ~~~

    *Bridge

    By default, we install a GOTOH premium bridge with hard zinc base plate,
    19mm string spacing for 4-strings, 18mm for 5-strings,
    mounting screws on all sides for gapless coupling and
    guideways to stabilize the saddles sideways.

    Let us know if you prefer any different bridge. If there is a reputable
    supplier and we have no quality concerns, we're happy to source and install it for you,
    we need to charge for the extra cost and time.
